Elda Chair

Images thanks to David McLaughlin

The Elda chair, designed by Italian designer Joe Columbo in 1963 and first available in 1965, manufactured by Comfort, now by Fratelli Longhi. It was one of the first upholstered chairs with a fibreglass shell (in place of wood). It has been exhibited in the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Louvre in Paris, and still appears in futuristic films including The Hunger Games (2012).

In Moonbase Alpha, it is usually found in Living Quarters, but it also appears in the Croton ship in Dorzak.

Joe Columbo also designed the Boby storage cart, of which 3 different versions are seen on Moonbase Alpha.
