The Rules Of Luton was an unusual episode in that it was almost entirely filmed on location. All the Moonbase and Eagle scenes were filmed on the first day of shooting (some additional footage for the Eagle scenes had to be shot after the episode completed). The production then moved to Black Park, a public park literally next door to Pinewood Studios, for three days of filming. Black Park was also been used for The Full Circle. A grizzly bear is mentioned (for the Koenig vs Alien Transport fight). The logistics of finding a grizzly bear in the UK and getting it to the location proved too great and a stock shot of a lion was used instead.
