This shooting schedule was issued on 14th June, 1976, to start filming on Friday 19th June. Three episodes would be filmed on Friday. On stage C, they shot final sequence from New Adam, New Eve (Koenig and the humanoid in the glade outside the cave), and pick-up shots from The Rules Of Luton (plants waving in the wind). On stage L, they filmed the start of The AB Chrysalis.
AB Chrysalis was a "double-up" episode. Two episodes were filmed simultaneously, one (The AB Chrysalis) featuring Koenig and Maya on alien sets, the other (Catacombs of the Moon) featuring Helena and Tony on Alpha. An extra camera crew was recruited; regular cameraman Frank Watts took the Catacombs episode; Brendan J Stafford was brought in for AB Chrysalis. Catacombs actually started on Monday 21st June, after the weekend. They both completed on Tuesday 6th July 1976; Chrysalis took 13 days, Catacombs took 12.
Chrysalis needed scenes on Alpha, so the first 4 days (Friday to Wednesday) were on L stage (Command Center and the Eagle set). Meanwhile, Catacombs would be shooting the lunar caves on M stage. On Thursday the crews would swap. The Chrysalis crew would move to M stage, with the caves repainted and brightly lit as the alien underground complex. The Catacombs crew would move back to L to shoot their scenes on Alpha sets. As we'll see, it didn't quite work out.
On Tuesday 22nd June, they are filming in the Eagle pilot section. Helena is required because she appears on the TV monitors, talking to Koenig (Barbara Bain sits just off set, being filmed by a TV camera; the interaction with Koenig is "live", not recorded). Maya's scenes are marked with an asterisk, because she is also required in the catacombs set on stage M (she arrives to help Tony search for Osgood, then sees the rockfall).
