Jamaican Clifton Jones, playing the part of Kano, has lived in England since 1958. He studied at the Conti Stage School, and while still a student, appeared in 'Billy Budd'. Numerous other stage roles followed, on tour and in repertory--and he played in such London productions as 'Moon On A Rainbow Shawl' and 'A Taste Of Honey'. He's been with Joan Littlewood's Theatre Royal, Stratford East company, has been in films ('V.I.P.s', 'Decline And Fall', 'Innocent Bystanders') and made his television debut in 'Emergency--Ward Ten'. Clifton Jones was in the Royal Air Force for two years national service--but it's taken 'Space 1999' to get him airborne as far as Moonbase Alpha! |
