The Moon comes across the remains of a mission that left Earth in 1996, 3 years
prior to the Moon breaking out of Earth orbit. All of the crew from the mission
are dead, except for Brian, a self-programming computer built by the mission's
Commander. Brian is anxious for company and asks to visit Alpha. Brian really
wants to use the Alphans for his own means, and kidnaps the Commander and Dr.
Russell to achieve his objective.
Planet D is a hostile world, covered in a thick, poisonous, yellow mist
that interferes with communication. The flora is quite alien; it must be to
survive in such a habitat. The members of the Earth mission can be
seen on the ground; they all died in the toxic mist.
