Moonbase Alpha is contacted by Space Station 1 in Texas City, Earth. The Moon
has only been in space for a few years, but on Earth the year is 2120. A new
method of transport has been developed so that all the Alphans can be brought
back to Earth, but only if all arrangements are completed in 72 hours, before
a galactic eclipse cuts off communication. An earthquake in Texas City during
the transfer of the first 3 Alphans, results in them being sent to 14th century
Scotland. If the people on Moonbase can't figure out their destination in the
next 36 hours they will be trapped there forever.
Pollution of the 21st century turned the Earth into an unlivable wasteland.
As a result all the population live in metro complexes, such as the North
American complexes of Pacific City, Grand Metropolis and Texas City. This
is a view of Texas City, showing the individual domes, and the transport
system connecting them.
