The Catacombs Breakaway Lost Scenes

This is another version of scenes 54 and 57, as Koenig flies to Area One. The off set lines (Morrow in first scene, Koenig in second) are spoken by another actor- possibly the director, Lee H Katzin.
Breakaway
241, take 1. Level to begin with.

Koenig says "Approaching Area One. Check data systems ready."

Morrow replies (off set) "Data systems functioning."

"It's getting more active. I'm increasing altitude"

They begin to shake the set, to represent the turbulence from the lightning. "I'm in trouble. Are you still getting the data?"

Morrow replies: "The magnetic field is expanding. Commander, you've got to get away from there. Switch to onboard backups. Commander, we're losing you."

"Back-up failing." says Koenig. "All systems are out."

"Rescue ship, move in." calls Morrow.

Cut.
This is version of the scene when Koenig and Bergman visit the depot and watch the astronauts check the radiation levels. Jackson has just finished the checks. Nick Tate is recording a line as the pilot of a rescue ship.

This line is Koenig (but spoken by another actor): "Okay boys, get out of there fast."

Alan says "Glad we weren't needed, Commander. Returning to base."

The director says "You don't go to until after- after is fine - "

Again, the actor speaks Koenig's line: "Alright, rescue ship step down. Okay boys, thanks."

Alan says "Glad we weren't needed, Commander. Returning to base."
