London's Evening News, Monday 22 October 1973. The Landaus arrive in London to film Space: 1999 . The paper doesn't name the series. While the Landaus had filmed Mission Impossible in 1966-1968, it only arrived in the UK in 1973, on BBC1 around 7pm Thursdays.
MARTIN LANDAU and his actress wife, Barbara Bain, stars of television's Mission Impossible, flew into Heathrow today to star in a new TV series to be made in London for Sir Lew Grade. "It is set 25 years in the future and will be science fiction as well as a thriller," said Mr. Landau. During their year's stay in this country, the couple's daughters, Susan, 13, and Juliet, eight, will be attending an English school.
This clipping was sent to the Landaus by Gerry Anderson, who wrote across the paper. As best we can read, it says "Mr + Mrs L- See you both have got here - if not it's a stinking photo. Gerry"
