The Continuity GuideThis is the "Hydroponics Unit 2" seen in The Troubled Spirit. It was filmed on stage M from 27th November to 4th December 1976. A "Hydroponics Unit" is also mentioned in Dragon's Domain.
Unusually the floor path is green. There are four paths to the central intersection, each numbered:
There are 4 sealed cabinets around the centre of the set, numbered 4, 5, 6 and 7 (where are 1-3?). These also appeared on the alien planet in War Games, and would appear in the 2 other Hydroponics sets.
Entrance from corridor (along path 3C). There are a number of stacked hexagonal boxes to the side. The Stadio table and Selene chair move around or are removed during different sequences.
The large sloping window above the laboratory was seen in Nuclear Generating Area 3. Facing this is a large vertical wall window.
Unusually we see the Demetrio stacking tables not stacked.
There are three nuclear waste silo caps (as seen in Nuclear Disposal Area 2 in Breakaway, and Nuclear Generating Area 3 in Force Of Life). Between them are three large numbers (4,5,6); the inspection caps on the silos are not numbered consecutively (1,7,8 in red; 3,4,7 in blue; 1,2,6 in black).
Either side of the silo caps we can see some computer panels.
Facing the laboratory is the communications post and a large vertical window wall, with a unique lattice pattern. The lunar surface can be seen beyond, with some moonbase buildings including a scanner.
The round table in the lab is a Tessera 120. The Tizio lamp is prominent in frame. A Z-27 Etagere can be seen. In the background (only really visible in the publicity photos) is the Propogatoscope (a Krokus color SL photograph enlarger). It will have a starring role in the other Hydroponics Center.
