Comments at the Los Angeles 2025 convention

I happened to be living in England at the time. My wife and I went over there for uh we planned to go for one year because I had a couple of huge disappointments in in Hollywood where I had my own series ready to go the next day and they cancelled it. I said to my wife, I want to go back to New York. I want to go back on the stage. We didn't have theatre out here (Los Angeles). She said, "No, we'll take off a year. We'll go to England. You can work there because I was born there." His wife was actress Sarah Marshall

So, we went there for one year. I stayed for 12. So, I was living there, had an agent, and when the part came up for grabs, I was sent in to audition. I don't think I had to read for some reason. I think Gerry [Anderson] had seen me do some other things on BBC and so I was hired on the spot.

I'm so happy because I had worked with Marty in Outer Limits in a very popular episode. And as I like to point out that if you're in a popular and a good episode, it rubs off on you. And if you're and even if you're good and even a lousy episode, that rubs off on me, too. So, it cuts both ways, you know. But, it was great to see to see Marty again and work with him. And uh we we were we never visited each other in each other's homes, but I'd run into him in Beverly Hills I don't know how many times and we'd stop and then we'd stand there and chat for about a half an hour and rabbit on about this that and the other thing. And Barbara happened to go to the same hairdresser my wife went to and I went there to pick up my wife one day, run into Barbara and that happened several times. It's like we're all family. Although we've never been into each other's homes or what, but we know each other fairly well. And anyway, working on the show was just great, you know. I just love that. And it was a lovely studio, Pinewood.
