ComLoc was a discussion fanzine (also known as a letterzine, a print periodical containing letters from fans- a sort of pre-internet discussion board or mailing list). The "Loc" part of the name refers to the fan term "Letter of Comment". It was edited by Chuck Raue, who was closely involved with the National Save: 1999 Alliance fan club and the early SpaceCon conventions. By the second issue, the publisher was "Piri Press". There were 8 issues, from December 1976 until July 1979.
The early issues, while the second series was still on first broadcast, reflect the early days of Space: 1999 fandom. Almost all the fans were also Star Trek fans, and copied the same fan activities and terms in Space: 1999. Among the fans here are Mona Delitsky, whose Cosmoconnection fanzine is mentioned, and who would co-found the National Save: 1999 Alliance.
By the second issue, the fan debates over year 2 are familiar, and the blaming of new producer Freiberger has been established, and debates about negativity begin. ComLoC #1 and ComLoc #2 are presented in full here (with some typos fixed).
