The Production Guide
On 4th March 1976, Johnny Byrne delivered the first draft of The Immunity Syndrome. Bergman is gone, but Sandra and Mathias are still present; Maya and Tony Verdeschi have key roles. In this scene, Helena and Maya are hurrying to the planet in an Eagle as Sandra discovers a transmitter has survived.

SANDRA presses a button. Nothing happens. She presses another and the
pack hums with static.
SANDRA (elated)
Receivers gone... but we can transmit... !
Anne - get the Commander!
They exchange elated looks as ANNE rushes out.
EXT. MOON BASE ALPHA. RADIO BEACON. SFX.
ON the beacon. Suddenly we hear it pulse with radio-noise.
INT. MOONBASE ALPHA. COMMAND CENTRE.
ON Command Centre Alphan. He reacts to a radio pulse noise.
INT. EAGLE ONE. PASSENGER SECTION.
ON the monitor. It bleeps and fills with the face of COMMAND CENTRE ALPHAN.
COMMAND CENTRE ALPHAN
Doctor Russell...
PULL WIDE to include MAYA, HELENA and the two SECURITY MEN in B.G.
COMMAND CENTRE ALPHAN
Radio signal from the planet... coming in on a one way channel...
MAYA and HELENA react.
HELENA
Punch it through...
COMMAND CENTRE ALPHAN vanishes from screen as KOENIG's voice cuts in.
KOENIG O/S (through static)
We're stranded. Without ships and equipment and under attack, we believe,..
INT. COMMAND EAGLE. PASSENGER SECTION
FAVOUR KOENIG transmitting.
KOENIG
From a hostile force based on this planet. Until
We have devised effective counter measures...
there is nothing you can do. I expressly
forbid any ships...
