The Production Guide
Tuesday 14th December 1976 was the last day of shooting for most of the cast. The very last scene of the series was filmed on this day. While they were still together, many of the cast also did "post-synching", recording dialogue for other episodes to provide a clearer soundtrack.
Only Martin Landau and Catherine Schell would continue to film, on the sets of the Dorcon spaceship (the State Room was constructed on stage 'L', and the other alien sets were on stage 'M'). Filming finally completed on Thursday 23rd December 1976- three days late, and with only one day to spare before the Christmas holidays.
