Publicity photos taken for scene 4 of the episode Earthbound on Wednesday 20 March 1974. The script specified "stock" footage of the Eagle launch, but the SFX crew decided to introduce a new pod with red stripes, the rescue Eagle. Even though the rescue Eagle only features in four episodes, these images became standard shots of the Eagle, used in publicity and merchandising (see below).

The shot in the episode is shown twice, once flopped left for right, to show two Eagles launching.

An unidentified crew-member and Terry Schubert brushing dust on the launch pad, which will be blown when the freon gas is released.

In several of the publicity shots, the wires lifting the Eagle are visible. In a few shots, the ends of the lunar mountains (photo cut-outs) can be seen, and the edge of the launch platform by the building.

Filming the launch pad. Terry Schubert is on the right; on the left with the broom is probably Terry Reed.

The photos were used on merchandise and publicity for the series.
