This is my list of top ten favourite episodes from each series (not in any particular order!). Linked to more detailed reviews.
Year One
- The Infernal Machine- Superb acting, poignant, compelling. Action and drama gels perfectly. McKern is outstanding
- Dragons Domain- An inspired plot, nice dialogue, pity about the guest star.
- Mission Of The Darians- first rate science fiction
- Deaths Other Dominion- absorbing story, acting and writing of the highest calibre
- The Troubled Spirit- an unusual and very effective science fiction ghost story
- Force Of Life- often creepy, very nicely done
- Earthbound- thrilling story with a terrific ending
- Voyager's Return- an accomplished script that never quite achieves its potential
- Guardian Of Piri- gorgeous design, but a good adventure story as well
- Another Time, Another Place- surprisingly touching, sometimes spellbinding. Geeson's performance is exceptional.
Year Two
- The Immunity Syndrome- a difficult idea well handled
- Seance Spectre- nonstop excitement, great narrative drive, some good effects.
- The Lambda Factor- clever story expertly done. Landau shows he can be very good.
- Dorzak- okay, so it is a little mawkish, but I enjoyed it
- New Adam, New Eve- hilarious, and Rolfe is great
- Bringers Of Wonder part 1. Well judged humour, good characterisation. Part 2 was okay, but a let down after this.
- The Taybor- bright, light comedy
- Mark Of Archanon- absurd but riveting entertainment
- Seed Of Destruction- often gripping, efficiently done
- Space Warp- Monsters, spaceship crashes, fighting- Just terrific fun!
