The Caldorian sleepership sits within the pressurized service area below
Launch Pad 1. Commissioner Simmonds plans to secure the extra space aboard
the Earthbound ship for himself.

Alpha has been hurled through a time warp five years into the future.
The Moon has returned to Earth where the Alphans discover antoher Moon
and duplicates of themselves.

Enroute to Earth, an alien spacecraft
crashlands on the Moon. On board are six
crewmembers in suspended animation. Upon
awakening, their leader, Captain Zandor,
tells Koenig that they are heading for
Earth because their planet has been des-
troyed. Since one of the aliens was kill-
ed when his sleep casket was forced open,
one Alphan will be allowed to return to
Earth. Commissioner Simmonds, trapped on
the Moon when it was blasted out of orbit,
will stop at nothing to be the sixth mem-
ber. Stealing Koenig's commlock, he enters
the life support room and removes its
power core. Alpha is then left with the
choice of letting him go or facing death
from lack or power and environment.

Alpha passes through a rift in the fabric
of the universe and is hurled across time
and space. The only person to be physi-
cally affected is Main Mission staff mem-
ber Regina Kesslann. She begins to devel-
op symptoms of sunburn and whimpers some-
thing about seeing "two moons" in the sky.
Miraculously, it is discovered that the
Moon is returning to Earth in orbit! As it
locks into orbit, Regina dies in the arms
of the man she claims to be her husband--
Alan Carter! Suddenly, a second Moon is
spotted with another Moonbase. The two
bodies are on a collision course, so Koenig,
Helena, and Carter probe the surface of
the Earth--devastated from a radical shift
in its axis--in an attempt to find a
suitable site for relocating the Alphans.
On the planet, however, they discover
themselves, five years in the future.
