Maya is delighted to learn that she is
not the only survivor of Psychon. Aboard
a Croton spacecraft is Dorzak, whom the
aliens claim is responsible for killing
one of the crew and badly injuring an-
other. The alien leader, Sahala, is trans-
porting Dorzak to a place of exile for
heinous crimes committed against her peo-
ple. Maya refuses to believe Sahala's
story and attempts to board the craft.
Meanwhile, Helena, in an attempt to save
the life of the crewmember Yesta, discov-
ers a capsule in the woman's head that
blocks strong telepathic waves. Aboard
the Croton ship, Maya has transformed her-
self into Sahala in order to learn the
truth from Dorzak. At first Dorzak is
fooled and Maya learns that he is indeed
as evil as Sahala had said. But Dorzak un-
masks Maya and uses his strong telepathic
powers to learn the secret of her trans-
formation.

He sees the two old friends whom he had
been forced to abandon on a Venus Expedi-
