Helena's case

Helena carries a transparent medical case featured in Matter of Life and Death, The Last Sunset, and One Moment Of Humanity.

It is a 1974 "Officio" attaché case, designed by Michael Kraus for the German company Gunther Lambert. Gunther Lambert (1928-2015) was a German designer, particularly interior design, who worked in many different materials. From 1968 into the early 1970s he experimented with Plexiglass as a material, including transparent furniture.

The case is 30cm x 46 cm x 8cm, and the interior has compartments on each side with two hinged dividing panels which snap into place to keep the compartments sealed. A red example and the original box is shown below- it was available in transparent, red, black and smoke grey. Thanks to Robert La Boheme.
