Ring Around The Moon

Original episode

This episode has a little more editing than the other episodes (apart from War Games/ God's Will), new CGI effects, and a new title- The Eyes Of Triton (which sounds more B-movie than the original). The episode opens with a remarkable shot panning from Clifford in the Main Mission window, past the outer walls of Alpha to the yellow sphere. The textures of the new sphere look computer generated, but the animation of the forcefields is very well done. The fake looking eye only appears at the end, within the sphere and rotating to give it a little more life.

The Eagle flight with Koenig and Alan is now in a booster Eagle (Eagles from The Metamorph and Immunity Syndrome with CGI forcefields). Some things are oddly unchanged- the bubbling coloured dyes are still there, and the notorious astronomical sequence (galaxy- star system - universe - sun). The final explosion of the sphere is shown with the fleeing Eagle from Dragon's Domain in foreground.
