METAMORPH

Compare with ITC summary. The episode is titled "Metamorph" here, not "The Metamorph".

Maya - Princess of the Planet Psychon! Can she live the lies of her father who plans to use Moonbase Alpha as food for his diabolical biological computer?

Maya, who possesses the incredible power of molecular transformation, joins the Alphans as a resident alien.

The Alphans, searching for a critically needed mineral, encounter the planet Psychon. An Eagle, with two Alphan pilots, is sent to Psychon, only to be captured. Commander John Koenig and Dr. Helena Russell lead a rescue party but are intercepted by the Psychon ruler, Mentor.

Their Eagle is energized to land on Psychon where they witness the terrible machinations of Mentor. The Psychon ruler has been using the energy of the minds of intelligent lifeforms to feed his biological computer which, through its incredible power of molecular transformation, will one day make Psychon the Eden of his wild fantasy.

Trapped in a hostile environment, and unable to challenge the wizardry of Mentor, Koenig and the Alphans turn to his daughter, Maya, for help. Maya refuses until she herself, transforming into a dove, flies into the caves and sees the consequences of her father's use of other lifeforms. For the first time, she sees the misshapen zombies, whose minds and bodies were warped by the biological computer.

It is then, in a wildly climactic scene, that Maya and the Alphans escape just as Psychon explodes into a supernova bringing death and destruction to all.

ALL THAT GLISTERS

Compare with ITC summary.

John, Helena and Maya battle against time and an army of grotesque rock creatures when Tony falls victim to the "Lights of Death!"

In a desperate search for a habitable planet, the Alphans land on a strange and forbidding world. It is a world possessed by horrible living rocks. These fantastic organisms can communicate, transport themselves and attack by emitting deadly color rays.

When a seemingly harmless rock specimen is brought on board the Eagle for examination, the rock, by emitting different color rays, takes command of the Eagle, enslaves Tony and paralyzes Helena. The rock is in desperate need of life-sustaining water.

The situation is desperate... and the battle has begun!
