Portugal 1977
Reprints of the Italian AMZ editions. Only two were published, although the back covers listed 6 titles. Each title was published in 4 weekly instalments ("fasciculo" in Portuguese; in modern terms, as a "part-work"); the price was 30 Portuguese escudos.
The books retain the original credits of the AMZ books, listing the original cast (in first name alphabetic order; the AMZ were last name alphabetic), writers and directors. Translation was by Rui Alberto Manoppella Tereno for volume 1, and G.M. Incisa di Camerana for volume 2. A couple of small errors occur in the English: in the first book, the English title is rendered as "Breackaway" and the series was created by Sylvia e "Jerry" Anderson.
Design and photos are almost identical to the original AMZ volumes. The first volume has a new cover image.
The first volume has an introduction by Eurico da Fonseca (1921-2000), a well known Portuguese scientist, translator and writer. Text here
The publisher Ediguia also published the popular weekly TV magazine Tele Semana, which covered the series and promoted these books.
