The final shooting script for New Adam, New Eve by Terence Feely is dated 29th April 1976. Thanks to Julie for the pages in this article.

Right is the script cover, with doodles by Martin Landau. Martin Landau was concerned about his character in this episode. The script title page has the following comments:

Why not more diplomacy from Koenig?
Only when he steps on my toes on 12 + 13 should I begin to exert - and suspect!
Too suspicious too soon for no apparent reason - resulting in hostility-

6.

ACT ONE:

FADE IN:

11 INT. COMMAND CENTER (SFX) 11

CLOSE ON BIG SCREEN

It shows only the swirling gases.

12 INT. COMMAND CENTER 12

KOENIG, HELENA, MAYA, TONY, ALAN, YASKO and the other
Alphans.

KOENIG

Yasko?

She punches buttons in vain, shrugs.

YASKO

I'm sorry.

IN SHOW CREDITS OVER THE FOLLOWING:

A wild vibration starts in the air, objects rattle
slightly, some people cover their ears.
Then MAGUS materalises in the middle of Command Center.
They gaze at him. even more impressive in actuality.
He seems immensely tall, commandingly, awesome. His
manner, however, is by contrast disarmingly ironic -
George Sanders-like.

MAGUS

It's all right; you don't
have to bow down and adore me.

KOENIG is determined not to be impressed.

KOENIG

That's not our style.

MAGUS

You doubt my credentials.

KOENIG

You haven't presented any.

MAGUS

(amiably)

I don't blame you. All those
highly imaginative works of
fiction you call religion have
clouded your minds, filled you
with false gods.

CONTINUED:

Why do I doubt him so strongly at first? Isn't the suspicion too quick? Tipping the end too soon?
