NBC 50th anniversary

On Sunday 21st November 1976, US TV station NBC ran their 50th anniversary special, hosted by Orson Welles. It included a large number of clips of NBC programmes, including one of Martin Landau (although neither of his main TV series were on NBC; Mission Impossible was CBS and Space: 1999 was syndication). NBC had to secure Landau's permission for the clip, and Landau would have confirmed it with ITC. The clip appears towards the end of the programme, in a compilation of cop shows.

The Pinewood postcode (zip code) is wrong- it should be SL0 ONH (there should be no dots between the characters).

Dear Mr. Martin Landau:

Confirming our conversation, all of us at NBC are very glad you have consented to our including a clip of your appearance on NBC in our gala 50th Anniversary show to be broadcast in November, as well as our referring to them in the advertising and publicity about the show. We hope you'll have the opportunity to see it.

We are deeply grateful for your cooperation in what we hope will be an outstanding event, and we would appreciate your signing and returning the enclosed copy to us for our records.

Cordially,
