When Bergman enters Main Mission, all the crew are watching the asteroid on the Big Screen. However, this shot shows a corner of the Big Screen- showing the normal "test card".
Computer says "It is your duty to report this danger to Alpha Commander." Why does Bergman decide to physically go to Main Mission, instead of just calling Koenig directly on the communications post or commlock? At this point the Eagle is still static in space; it takes several minutes for Bergman to arrive, by which time Ryan has moved too close. Thanks to Gary O'Brien.
The Moonbase Alpha model in Bergman's quarters is made from a photograph of the original SFX model, cutting out the base buildings beneath it, and leaving the photograph on the top.
When Bergman talks to Koenig on his commlock, the papers on his desk are readable. The form he is using states "Existing Lap Record 444/9", "by CASTELLI", "Fastest Practice Time 00001 - 180/RD", "by Harrisondumy". The other papers are faint photocopies, headed "Moonbase Alpha", "Pre-Flight Take-Off Checks", "Countdown", "Engines" etc.
Paul's guitar (and the composition) were Prentis Hancock's own. It was purchased by Prentis Hancock in 1966 in London's Charing Cross Road for a production of 'Portrait of a Queen' - a play about Victoria and Albert - in which Prentis Hancock played the ballad-monger and told their story. Later when it was repaired, Prentis found out it was hand made.
The 60-year old brandy that Bergman drinks seems to be Courvoisier Napoleon Fine Champagne (the letters "...RVOISIE..." are visible on the bottle). Thanks to Marcus Lindroos, who knows his brandy.
After emerging from the Black Sun, they see this nebula on the big screen. The shot is reused at the end of Another Time, Another Place.
