Several writers proposed storylines, or wrote early scripts, which were not used.

Donald Jonson

Imdb. Wrote episodes of Danger Man (6 episodes, 1964-1966), Riptide (4 episodes, 1966), The Protectors (1 episode, 1972), ITV Sunday Night Theatre episode "A.D.A.M." (1973). Christopher Penfold doesn't remember him, but Jonson had worked with Gerry and Sylvia Anderson for Protectors, and had just written a science fiction story about a computer controlled house for ITV.

Storyline "Fly Trap", an early version of Ring Around The Moon.

Victor Pemberton

Imdb. British writer, born 1931, died 2017. He was a script editor for Doctor Who in 1967, and wrote the story "Fury from the Deep" (1968). He also wrote Timeslip (1971) and Ace of Wands (1972).

Unused storyline "Planet of the Eye".

Jerome Coopersmith

Imdb. American writer, born 1925. He wrote 30 episodes and 2 feature length movies of Hawaii Five-O from 1968. He wrote many other TV series, and the 1974 animated adaption of 'Twas The Night Before Christmas that aired annually on CBS until 1994, and continues to be shown in syndication. He also wrote for the theatre, and taught TV writing at New York colleges.

Unused story, possibly script, commissioned by George Bellak. No title known.

Irving Gaynor Neiman

George Lefferts

Imdb. American writer and producer, born 1921. He wrote for the 1950 science fiction radio serial Dimension X. He won 3 Emmy awards.

Lefferts was proposed to ITC in June 1973, and there was a meeting appointment in late July.

Joe Stefano

Wikipedia, Imdb. American writer and producer, best known for the screenplay for Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and writer/producer of the science fiction anthology series The Outer Limits (1963-1964) plus other series and TV movies.

Documents suggest a proposed interview between Abe Mandell, Gerry and Sylvia Anderson and Stefano at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Monday 30th July 1973. We do not know if it took place.

Richard Landau

Imdb, born 1914, died 1993. Landau had a long career in TV as writer and producer, including The Wild Wild West (1965), The Rat Patrol (1966-1967) and The Six Mission Dollar Man (1978). Science fiction credits include episodes of The Outer Limits (1964), Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1964,1965), a double-episode of The Six Mission Dollar Man in which the Moon moves out of Earth orbit ("Dark Side of the Moon", 1978), and the 1979 Disney film The Black Hole.

Gene Roddenberry

Wikipedia, Imdb. American writer/producer, born 1921, died 1991. Best known for creating Star Trek (1966-1969). In 1973 Roddenberry had aired his pilot for Genesis II and was preparing another series The Questor Tapes

Roddenberry has said he was approached as a writer for Space: 1999 (as was Fred Freiberger). He spoke on the phone and met with ITC's Arnold Friedman in July 1973, not as a potential writer but recommending writers for the series, including Art Wallace.

Other Names

Many Star Trek writers were proposed, including Gene L Coon (the agency submitted his name in June 1973, but he died early July 1973), and Theodore Sturgeon. In December 1972, D C Fontana had submitted a resume and cover letter (To Everything That Might Have Been (2022) pp 170-171)
