Below: This 44" Command module was built by Simon Atkinson when he joined Space Models in 1976. It was an audition model for Simon, not built for the series. The command module was cast in Perspex formed over the original wooden master carved by "Wag" Evans. It features Perspex plating like the original.

The wooden master used for this command module was used for the first 44 inch Eagle in 1973. and perhaps the Missing Link damaged command module; the second 44" Eagle command module was cast from first Eagle.

Thanks to Keith, who has restored the model. "I decided to leave it in a 'semi finished' state for display. This way some of the unique moulded Perspex construction is visible, and thus can be appreciated."
