The Alphans scan Sahala and find the neuro-pulsonic jammer capsule in her head. Maya arrives and is shocked that the Alphans are sceptical of Dorzak.

49 INT. MEDICAL CENTER 49
CLOSE PANNING SHOT of an Xray unit.
The pan ends as it comes to bear upon SAHALA's head.
SAHALA is lying on a bed in medical center.
CAMERA PULLS WIDE to reveal ALAN and TONY observing as
HELENA puts the machine exactly as she wants it against
SAHALA's head. 2ND SECURITY GUARD is in b.g.
SAHALA's eyes are open. She looks towards ALAN.
FAVOR ALAN
He smiles encouragingly.
SAHALA smiles back weakly.
FAVOR HELENA
She touches a control on the Xray machine and they all look towards a medical monitor.
FAVOR MEDICAL MONITOR
An Xray of SAHALA's skull.
HELENA points to the capsule.
HELENA
There it is, just behind the
ear under the scalp flap. A
simple operation ... you could
do it in minutes.
AREA OF SAHALA
ALAN moves close to her and automatically SAHALA's hand
goes to meet his. ALAN goes to help her rise.
FAVOR the door as MAYA enters.
MAYA is surprised by SAHALA's presence, looks at SAHALA
in annoyance and looks questioningly at the others.
FULL SHOT
TONY
(points to the
capsule on the Xray)
Maya, this is a neuro-pulsonic
jammer.
CONTINUED:
In the 3rd November blue pages, this scene is expanded to fill some plot holes. First we have Sahala mournful about Yesta, which we hadn't seen elsewhere. It also underscores that the Alphans now believe her. The other big plot hole is why Sahala didn't simply tell the Alphans about the jammers. It's not totally convincing, and will be cut from the episode.

Yesta... poor Yesta. She died
with his foul accusations
against me on her tongue.
She must be in misery thinking
that I might blame her.

ALAN
Wherever she is, she's got to
know inside her that you wouldn't
blame her.
She looks at him searchingly.
SAHALA
Then you are convinced that
I have told the truth.
ALAN
Of course...
He hesitates a moment.
She looks at him questioningly.
ALAN (contd.)
Just one thing, Sahala ...
Why didn't you tell us about
the jammer?
SAHALA
It was my only protection from
Dorzak's powers; I feared in
your ignorance you would try
to remove it from me and leave
me vulnerable too ... like Yesta.
They stare into each other's eyes. FAVOR the door as MAYA enters.
MAYA is surprised by SAHALA's presence, looks
at
SAHALA in annoyance and looks questioningly at
the others.
