This is the special effects storyboard for the episode The Seance Spectre. This the climax of the episode, as they search for Sanderson among the nuclear waste silos, the Eagle laser gun, and the Eagle launching at the end.
This sequence starts as Helena, Tony and Sandra in Eagle 3 are scanning the area of the waste silos, looking for Sanderson. Koenig and Maya have landed in Eagle 2 on the other side of an outcrop of rocks to the silos (as specified in the script, to avoid having any angle from the studio set to the Eagle).
Scene 133, slate 33X. High angle closer shot of silos. Editor Proceed this cut with shash. Pan over to Sc 135
As indicated by the frame shape, this appears on the Eagle screen. "Shash" is the random static noise that used to be seen on analogue televisions when they changed channels.
Scene 135, slate 34X. End of pan from silos (Sc 133) to see very small object (moon buggy). High angle.
Scene 137, slate 35X. High angle of moon buggy on moon surface. Editor Proceed this shot with shash.
Scene 139A, slate 37X. Two Eagles hovering in space. Separated from the Moon by red galaxy (Tora).
The editor moved this shot earlier.
Scene 149, slate 40X. P.O.V. panning around rocks etc. from Eagle Two. Moon surface Ground level
The editor moves this shot after the laser gun is raised.
Scene 156, slate 43X. Eagle 2 Screen. Whip pan across rock formation and stop.
There is no whip pan. We see a low angle tracking shot across rocks, cut to Tony (who shouldn't be seeing the low angle), cut to Maya, cut to the Eagle screen showing Sanderson.
Scene 158, slate 44X. Laser fires.
The editor swaps the order of scene 158 and 159. In the script, Maya fires, narrowing missing Sanderson. Then Sanderson fires, hitting the Eagle, but loses his foothold and he falls down the rocks. In the episode, Sanderson fires, hitting the Eagle and causing Maya to fall behind the seat. Then the Eagle laser gun fires by itself, collapsing the rocks under Sanderson's feet.
Scene 159A, slate 45X. Set-up on Eagle as Sc 140A 38X. Laser hits Eagle's nose - nose halates.
Despite the instruction, a slightly different set-up to 140A (see above).
Scene 172A, slate 47X. Repeat set-up Sc 123.31X
Not used. We see a different angle of the Eagle launching. We see Eagle 2 landing in scene 123, but not the matching launch.
