Year Two

An alien battleship appears over Alpha and demands that Maya be handed over to them. The Moonbase tries to defend itself but the battleship has overwhelming firepower.

The aliens are led by their aging Archon, who needs Maya's brainstem in order to achieve immortality. He is aware his scheming nephew Malic is next in line to the throne. Varda leads a small force who transport into Command Centre and subdue the crushed Alphans. They take Maya and are transported back to their ship. Before the transport beam ends, Koenig jumps into it and is transported to the ship as well.

Koenig is shown the meson convertor that powers the ship. The Dorcons cannot return him immediately as it must be recharged. He is left with guards, but they are shot by Malic, who lets him go free.

Archon and Maya are prepared for surgery. Malic pretends to search as Koenig watches from a ventilation duct.

Malic kills the Archon, intending to have the operation himself. Koenig frees Maya, but is captured by Varda. Koenig explains how Malic killed the Archon. Varda and Malic shoot at each other, damaging the meson convertor. The Alphans escape in the transport beam just before the ship explodes.
