Diagnostic Unit in Missing Link is a rare two-level room (actually a revamp of Command Office) (plan). The steps may be incompatible with critically ill patients and medical equipment.
Filmed on L Stage on 29th April - 1st May 1974, with "Keonig" insert shot filmed much later on 22nd July 1974.
Pan from left to right across the set. There are two intensive care beds with computer wall panels. There are also two examination chairs (Eagle seats) facing the beds. Along the far wall are a bank of computers. On the other side of the central shelf divider is a raised section, with a communications post and side door.
On the central shelf divider, we see a flat mirror and a ball mirror. In the dark shot, a Giano ashtray can be seen.
Here's the corridor leading up to Diagnostic. It is very unusual to have windows in a corridor, or steps. (The reason is this is the side of the Main Mission set).
Overhead view of one of the beds. The life support chest unit is placed to the side on a Giano ashtray.
The third bed is on the raised platform area to the side. There is no computer bank at the head of the bed, just an Ergastolo folding screen.
View from the sunken area up to the double doors. A Giano ashtray has been knocked on its side. Note there are two door control panels very close to each other.
