Eagles
Big Eagle

The A B Chrysalis The Seance Spectre

A larger scale partial model of the Eagle was made, consisting of some superstructure. It is seen with a model astronaut in The Bringers Of Wonder part 2 and the laser turret in The A B Chrysalis, Devil's Planet and The Seance Spectre. Note the The Seance Spectre shot is reversed left for right.

The model consists of half the passenger module, the top spine, the top of a leg pod, and the main body cage. It is approximately 1:12 in scale; if the model was completed, it would be 88 inches long, twice the size of the 44 inch Eagle.

We see more of the passenger module in The Bringers Of Wonder part 2; in The Immunity Syndrome we see an entirely new build of the passenger module, but approximately the same size.

Space Dock at Bray

The Bray Studio workshop in 1976. The partial model is on the left, by the space dock. This is back of the model, with only the spine and top of the passenger module decorated. The side with the framework and completed passenger module is facing away from us.

Eagle foot in workshop

This is the Eagle foot on the workbench. The photo is upside down to show the model better. The feet have been turned round (this shows the unseen front of the leg pod). Picture thanks to Martin Bower.

Eagle foot in workshop

The same photo, the correct way. To the left are various pieces of Eagle hangar furnishings. On the right are 3 44" pallet pods, and the bottom half of Voyager 1.

Bower holds Eagle foot

Bower holds the prop shortly after it was built (snow fell in south eastern UK after 25th January 1976).
