The Production GuideTo speed up the production of episodes, the crew had split into two units to film the preceding episodes, Catacombs of the Moon and The AB Chrysalis. They had been due to finish on Friday 2 July 1976, with Seed Of Destruction starting on Monday 5th July. The first shooting schedule was published on Thursday 1st July, but it was quickly obvious that they needed two more days to complete the preceding episodes. A second shooting schedule was published on Monday 5th, to begin on Wednesday 7th.
The order for the scenes is mostly the same: starting with Command Center, then corridor scenes before Maya's quarters. The rest of the schedule completed the various Moonbase scenes (observation, "life support section" which will be the weapons section set, Medical and the Eagle interiors), before moving to stage M for the cave entrance and Hall of Mirrors.
Both schedules include an "extended day", filming into the evening; in the first schedule it was day 3 on Wednesday, but in the second it is moved to day 4 on Monday
Command Center scenes. The script has the character Yasko, but the lines are given to Sahn.
The third day of filming includes scene 98 with the confrontation between the 2 Koenigs and the shattering mirror (filmed with a high speed camera).
Corridor scenes, with Matha Nairn as Cranston, who is just "female operative" in the script and schedule.
There are a number of other corridor and travel tube scenes including this one when Maya transforms into a space animal to attack Jack Klaff. These were filmed on Monday 12th July.
Also filmed on Monday 12th July were the scenes in Maya's quarters.
