The Mark Of Archanon sound rushes

Sound rushes from the episode The Mark Of Archanon.

Sound rushes

Roll 193, recorded 17 May 1976. This tape was recorded over the sound for Mission Of The Darians (roll 676, 15 January 1975). Much of the original studio sound has been recorded over by a later guitar track. The tape covers the opening scenes in the cave with Nick Tate and John Alkin, including Alan's singing, several takes when they "broaden the beam", and finding the Archanons. "It's a couple of corpses." says Alkin in his original English accent (on screen, he was dubbed, like Michael Gallagher). Finally, Carter collapses.

Sound rushes

Roll 194, recorded 17 May 1976. This tape was recorded over the sound for Mission Of The Darians (roll 670, 10 January 1975). Much of the original studio sound has been recorded over by a later guitar track, although some of the dialogue and sound can still be heard. Helena and Raul tend to Alan: "Welcome back to the living. You had us worried for a moment." They find the control panel.

Sound rushes

Roll 195, recorded 18 May 1976. This tape was recorded over the sound for Voyager's Return (roll 436, 16 August 1974). The cave collapses, and Alan rescues Etrec: "He's just a kid!". As they monitor Etrec, Pasc stirs. Director Charles Crichton can be heard saying "Eyes closed, dead still. You're moving, Michael." We then move to the Recreation Centre for the end of the scene when Etrec declares "An Archanon can only kill!" (in his original English accent).
