The Eagles are seen in a number of different configurations. In emergency situations the command module is detachable (Missing Link, Dragon's Domain). The pod can be routinely detached and changed according to assignment (Earthbound, Dragon's Domain). Podless Eagles are occasionally seen: Earthbound (in hangar), Collision Course (Eagle 10, with grab).
