Eagle Equipment

Docking tube

Only some Eagles have this capability (according to dialogue in War Games). Used in Earthbound (with a round corrugated seal & red stripes: "Vacuum chamber"), Guardian Of Piri (without seal), The Testament Of Arkadia (also without seal), Collision Course, Space Brain & War Games (tube is not seen).

Horizontal grab

Space Warp

Fixed to top of leg unit. Used in The Exiles to recover capsule. Also used on refuelling Eagles in The Rules Of Luton & Space Warp to carry fuel capsule, to refuel another Eagle. The rear pod of Eagle 2 has a special open panel section for these two episodes.

Laser Turret

A retractable turret in the top superstructure of the Eagle. Used in The A B Chrysalis (controlled by a hand held trigger last used in Catacombs Of The Moon), Devil's Planet & The Seance Spectre (controlled by the laser control last used in The Exiles, firing a green beam).

Laser

Only some Eagles have lasers (War Games refers to the "last laser equipped Eagle", The Testament Of Arkadia specifies an "unarmed survey Eagle"). The beam seemed to originate immediately under the command module. Used in Black Sun (white beam against black sun, orange bolt against forcefield), Alpha Child (yellow-orange beams), End Of Eternity (blue beam), The Infernal Machine (yellow beams), The Mark Of Archanon and The Dorcons (green beams).

Missiles

According to Devil's Planet the Eagles carry missiles. This capability is never seen in the series (unless some of the "laser" beams seen are in fact missiles - for instance, the orange bolt fired in Black Sun which is clearly slower-than-light).

Shields

Various shields are used: anti-gravity screens (Black Sun, War Games & visible as a yellow cone around the command module in Ring Around The Moon), radiation screens (Collision Course), glare shield in window (Catacombs Of The Moon), heat shields (The Immunity Syndrome), plus Eagle 3 has a special protective storm shield in The Mark Of Archanon.

Ring Around The Moon

Moonbuggy

In The Full Circle & The Testament Of Arkadia Eagles carry a moonbuggy (it can be seen in the compartment behind the passenger section with various boxes).
