The last day of filming A Matter Of Balance used a small crew, no set and no actors, while the other "double-up" episode finished on 'L' stage, Space Warp. The following day, Wednesday 25th August 1976, they would resume as a single unit working on one (double-length) episode, The Bringers of Wonder
These inserts had originally been listed on Monday's call sheet, after they finished with the Hydroponic Center scenes, but they spilled over an extra day.
Vindrus demonstrates his weapon on the floor of the temple. This is a close-up of the explosion.
To distract the Thaed, Maya transforms into a stuffed fox. The live action shots on the studio backlot were shot on Friday 6th August and Monday 9th August with a dog which only vaguely looked like a fox. This shot, seen in Maya's pupil before the transformation, would at least establish it was a fox.
In scene 46, Maya is showing Koenig and Tony her images from inside the temple. We presume the insert was her manipulating the Eagle remote control to show the pictures, but the shot is not used. There is a brief close up of Maya's hand holding a clipboard, which may be the insert.
Maya's hands turning dials on the temple control post, as she tries to work out how to use it. There are a couple of different shots.
Generator exploding, against black velvet. We see this explosion shot, scene 90, but this may have been on the set. There was presumably an additional isolated shot of the generator flashing to white to signify the atomic explosion.
