The Catacombs The Production Guide
Script To Screen: A Matter Of Balance
by Martin Willey

Script To Screen

A Matter Of Balance was a double-up episode (filmed at the same time as Space Warp). The first two days, the previous episode (The Beta Cloud) was still filming. On Thursday 5th August 1976, there were 3 episodes being filmed: filming day 12 of Beta Cloud and the first day of Space Warp (although we suspect not much was filmed of that episode).

Space 1999 Interviews

In addition to the episodes, a set of interviews was conducted on this day, including with Landau, Schell and Keith Wilson in front of the temple set.

The first shots are the exterior of the temple, constructed on the studio paddock area. This was the same field seen in The Full Circle when the crew leave the Eagle. They would film these scenes until Monday 9th August, when they moved back into the studio sets.
