We don't see the tube retract.

Rescue Eagle vanishes into plasma cloud.

Slow thru plasma cloud
Not used. We see a SFX shot of the plasma cloud, with no Eagle, before cutting directly to a close up of the unconscious Alan, hearing Arra's voice. He sits back, and presses a button (he's shutting down the motors, according to the script). Arra says "You're quite safe now".

Eagle emerges from plasma
and stops in black space sky
