The Merchandise GuideThere were 36 base cards in set 2 (set 1 had 54 cards). Each box has all 36 cards in a cellophane wrapper (in set 1 they were in separate packs of 5, with 120 cards per box, which meant many duplicates and some missing cards).
The is one card per first series episode (1-24), followed by one card per two second series episodes (25-36). Two of the episode titles are wrong (A Matter of Life and Death, The Black Sun). All the images on the front are landscape format, with an orange bar and caption at the base. The back features a different photo and text, comprising the episode title and a 1 or 2 line summary. Most of the shots are HD screen shots, not promotional photos. Nearly half are model effects shots.
