The Production Guide
The final page from the 17th September 1974 was replaced by a pink page on 23rd September 1974. It was filmed in the medical centre set, before all the planet scenes, on day 3 of filming, Thursday 26th September 1974.
On the previous page, Koenig wonders "I wish I could remember. I'd really like to know how much we have changed in all that time - our instincts; our basic feelings."

HELENA
Not much by the sound of it. It
seems that a cave woman felt
jealous for just the same reasons
I would.
KOENIG
Yes - I was flattered about that.
Victor, were there any other stone
age people down there or was it
only us?
BERGMAN
Only you.
KOENIG
Just us. And because we couldn't
speak to each other, we couldn't
communicate what we meant, we
misunderstood; we got frightened,
angry, jealous, vengeful - to the
point of killing. And yet it was
only us there.
HELENA
Under the skin I don't think we've
changed much in forty thousand years.
BERGMAN
Do you think we ever will?
KOENIG
We would have to go forward 40
thousand years to find that out.
But I hope so, Victor: I hope
we learn a little bit more about
how to live as we go along.

THE END
The 23rd September version of the page starts the same, but gives some of Koenig's lines to Sandra. Koenig's final speech is rearranged. Landau amends these lines below, some of which made it to the episode, some of which didn't.

vengeful.
KOENIG
Yes, vengeful, to the point of killing.

HELENA

Maybe - just maybe - we'll learn
a little bit more about how to live as we
go along. I'll let you know in forty
thousand years.

THE END
Koenig's line "Yes I was flattered about that" is expanded by Landau to "Yes I was quite flattered when I heard about that.". The spoken line is ""As a matter of fact I was quite flattered when I heard about that."
Koenig's line "And because we couldn't speak to each other, we couldn't communicate what we meant, we misunderstood..." is made a bit more personal: "And because we couldn't speak to you - we couldn't communicate what we meant, we misunderstood..." The spoken line is a little shorter, and closer to the scripted line: "Because we couldn't speak to each other, couldn't communicate, we misunderstood."
The final line is shortened- Landau brackets out the section that will be deleted in the final dialogue: "we'll learn a little bit more about how to live as we go along".
