The Production Guide
Filming started in Koenig's dining room (scene 23) on Monday 26th April 1976 (it was due to start on Friday 23rd) and completed on Tuesday 27th.
The crew then moved to the Recreation Center, the revamped Medical set, first for the solarium scenes, then Taybor trading with the Alphans. Filming these scenes would be completed on Wednesday 28th April. The unit would move across to stage M for the astronaut shots with Fraser (in a moonbuggy) and Koenig (fixing the limpet), and then inside Taybor's grand salon for the remainder of the episode.
The Recreation Center scenes open with the helpfully signed "Solarium Area". First we see "Model Girl" Chai Lee, lying on the far bed. On the next bed is Barbara (Sarah Bullen), with Third Girl (Vicki Michelle) sitting by her. On the next bed is Karen (Laraine Humphrys), who will pick up Taybor's object. The blonde girl taking the sunglasses is "Model Girl" Jenny Clare. In the foreground bed (we only see her hips) is "Model Girl" Penny Priestley. All these will be seen later, in normal Alphan uniforms, trading with Taybor.
The trading scene, in the same location and with the same cast. Here we see Penny Priestley and Jenny Clare, with Micky Clarke in white sleeve. In the solarium sequence, Micky Clarke was one of the orderly with Helena and Vincent who attend to Karen (in this call sheet, "Crowd: 1 Man").
In the following day's shooting, Wednesday 28th April, they added 5 additional crowd to the trading scene, including Ian Flint and Karen Cooper.
