Pluto's moon, Charon, was not discovered until 1978.

Tom's slide-rule was used by Bergman in Testament Of Arkadia. The satellite panel is seen clearly in Seed Of Destruction. One of the satellites can be seen in the spaceship graveyard in The Metamorph.
