The freon gas effect was used in Voyager's Return, and subsequently for the Eagles in Year Two. The middle photo is a larger partial model, using the rear engine bells from an Eagle.

The shot of the Moon (a NASA photograph taken by the Apollo 11 astronauts) was used extensively in Space: 1999. The Altares antenna is a Moonbase Alpha gravity tower, first seen in Black Sun.

The photon drive ignites! The ship accelerates to near the speed of light, causing light to be shifted into the red spectrum.

The "TV Cam" image uses the laser sights seen in The Last Sunset, War Games and other episodes. The acceleration effect (blowing gas on the actors' faces and hands) is also used in The Metamorph.
