Germany 12 December 2011
€19.99/29.99 per volume
Concurrent with the Crest releases, Laser Paradise released the four "Mondbasis Alpha 1" compilation movies on DVD. Crest is also listed on some internet retailers, and it seems Laser Paradise and Crest are both trading names of the same company. The name Laser Paradise appears nowhere on the packaging (it only lists Starlight Film, the distributor).
Soundtracks were German and English. Cosmic Princess had not previously been released in Germany, so no German soundtrack exists; it is reported that a new soundtrack was made from the German tracks of the corresponding episodes.
Box art was the original ITC promotional paintings (including the English titles): over these were printed "Mondbasis Alpha 1" and the German title. The interior of the sleeve was identical, without the green "12" rating label.
A special edition, limited to 500, had a hard box cover. The regular editions cost €19.99 each, the special editions cost €29.99.

All discs used Roberto Baldassari's menus for the Italian Year One discs. The opening sequence (panning up from moonbuggy to Moonbase Alpha with Eagles flying over) replaced the "Space: 1999" logo with "Mondbasis Alpha 1" (obscuring the CGI Eagle as it flies behind it). The main menu is then shown on the Main Mission Big Screen; we zoom to the computers for language menu, and down the corridor into the travel tube for extras.
The movies generally had two German soundtracks- one for the movie version, one for the individual episodes - and one two English soundtracks (mono and stereo when available).
Extras included the movie trailers and promotional material and photo galleries (the ITC movie publicity, including some of the shots featured on the recent Network Blu-Ray release). Alien Attack also featured the Breakaway comic strip from the Power book and record set. Cosmic Pricess featured the original episode dialogue for the Captain Duro sequence ("Vader" in the movie), in both German and English. Journey Through The Black Sun had German alternative opening (and closing) sequences as used in previous German releases of the movie.
