Space: 1999 Super Space Theatre Collectors Edition

This is "Volume 2", following Anderson Entertainment's Volume 1 (the Thunderbirds super space theater movies).

This is a re-issue of the Network 2022 Super Space Theater blu-ray, plus a "new" compilation, Prisoners in Space. The Network edition was fully re-released in Australia as Super Space Theatre (2025), with new audio commentaries and booklet. The discs are not region encoded (region A players in North America can play them, unlike the previous Network discs).

Packaging

Slipcase cover art is compilation of elements: Maya from Cosmic Princess poster, Helena from Destination Moonbase Alpha, Koenig from Alien Attack.

All 5 discs are in one case (the Network set had 5 individual cases). The extra space in the slip-case is for the posters and lobby cards. There is a short card base around the slipcase, which displays the UK rating (PG) and the text "Limited Collector's Edition". On the back are technical details and credits. When the original wrapping cellophane is removed, this card base cannot be attached to the slip-case.

Interior contents: the Blu-ray case has the art from the Alien Attack 1986 VHS CBS Fox release.

Movie versions

The four ITC movies are the same two versions as Network, both versions created in 2022:

original 4:3 TV format with original soundtrack (it is nevertheless an HD recreation of the 1980s movies)
16:9 widescreen, using an episode soundtrack and altered SFX scenes.

Three of the films have un-restored "original" versions. The movies have been previously released on European DVDs, eg Italy 2007, Germany 2016 (these were actually restored; these versions seem to be earlier un-restored versions).

12 reproduction lobby cards. These are much smaller than the original, and on sturdy card, not paper. The backs have the logo and credits for the movies (from the Super Space Theatre press kits). These are not a complete set for each movie (see here).
