JOE DUNNE - stunt and fight coordinator

Joe Dunne became a stunt co-ordinator on The Avengers when Ray Austin became a director. He first worked with the Andersons on The Protectors (1972-1973), both as a stunt arranger and stunt double for Robert Vaughn. He has worked in the US since the 1980s. Films as stuntman or stunt co-ordinator include Return Of The Pink Panther (1974), The Man With Two Brains (1983), Chaplin (1992), The Usual Suspects (1995), Mars Attacks (1996), Ronin (1998), Reindeer Games (2000).

He has worked with some of the directors on the show many times, most notably Peter Medak, and recently bumped into Martin Landau and talked to him about their time together on the show. (Thanks to Mathew Dunne for the information)

Lew Crawford was Roger Moore's stunt double for The Saint (1962-1969), and continued on to the Bond films with Live and Let Die (1973) and The Man with the Golden Gun (1974). He also did stunts for The Prisoner (1967), The Avengers (1967-8), The Persuaders! (1971), Blake's 7 (1979) and Flash Gordon (1980). Born 1933, died 2006.

Alpha Child

Gerry Crampton. A former body-builder, he worked frequently on the Bond movies since Dr No (1962), as well as Raiders Of The Lost Ark (1981), Gandhi (1982), Batman (1989).

Cliff Diggins - Sometimes credited as Cliff Diggings. Stunts and double for Koenig in Catacombs Of The Moon, New Adam New Eve, Devil's Planet, The Dorcons (also as a guard). Stuntman in From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, and, on TV, The Sweeney and Blakes 7. Died 2004

Romo Gorrara - born 1932, died 1997. He was an assistant stunt co-ordinator on Cleopatra (1963). He doubled for Sean Connery in You Only Live Twice (1967). Other credits include Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), A Fish Called Wanda (1988), GoldenEye (1995). He was a stunt arranger on several Space 1999 episodes, and appeared on-screen as a guard or technician.

Martin Grace - Guard in End Of Eternity. You Only Live Twice and many other Bonds (double for Roger Moore), Moon Zero Two, Superman, all three Indiana Jones films (as Harrison Ford's double), The Truman Show. Born 1942, died 2010.

George Leech - Born 1921, died 2012. Often doubled for Barry Morse. He performed stunts in many James Bond films from Dr. No (1962) until A View to a Kill (1985), and was the main stunt arranger on On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969). Other films include Star Wars (1977) and Superman (1978). Vic Armstrong was his son-in-law.

Frank Maher - Decontamination in The Exiles. Best known as Patrick McGoohan's double in The Prisoner, he also conceived and co-wrote an episode of the series. Many Avengers and Danger Man in the 1960s, Blakes 7.

Val Musetti - Spirit Mateo in Troubled Spirit. Many Avengers in the 1960s, Batman, Superman 2, London's Burning, Alien 3, Midsomer Murders, 55 Degrees North.
