The Space: 1999 and UFO displays are in the first room, with two cabinets each. In the centre are information signs. "This ambitious live-action science fiction series represented Gerry Anderson's most expensive and internationally successful production. Set on Moonbase Alpha, the programme followed the crew of a lunar research station accidentally propelled into deep space following a catastrophic nuclear explosion on September 13, 1999. Space: 1999 showcased Anderson's most advanced special effects work, featuring the iconic Eagle spacecraft designed by Brian Johnson and Derek Meddings (Meddings was not involved). The programme's production values rivaled contemporary cinema, with elaborate sets, complex space sequences, and detailed alien environments that established new standards for television science fiction.
The series' narrative structure emphasised psychological drama and philosophical inquiry over traditional adventure storytelling. The haunting electronic score, composed by Barry Gray for series 1 and Derek Wadsworth for series 2, complemented the programme's sense of cosmic wonder and existential uncertainty."

Beneath the series descriptions are a number of pull-out racks, showing photos from the two series, the 2001 Carlton DVD covers, and the Baldassari Eagle blueprints. There are also displays of Dinky Eagles, and more modern merchandise in the main room.
