International GuideWales (based in Cardiff) and West Country (based in Bristol). While most ITV stations started on September 4th or 6th, HTV waited 6 weeks until starting the series, using the same Friday evening slot as Granada. Unusually the initial run had a 55 minute timeslot, not a full hour (the 52-minute long episodes were uncut, normally with 2 short 90 second advert breaks).They did not show Year 2 until 1983, and never broadcast 4 episodes (see 1979 local press).

Six episodes were shown in summer 1977 on Saturday early evenings (on HTV West only; HTV Wales had different programming). Eleven more were shown on Sunday afternoon from January until April 1978, and the final 6 on Saturday mornings in June-July. Only Breakaway had cuts.

20 episodes of Year One were shown on Saturday mornings from April through the summer of 1982. Breakaway and War Games had cuts. Strangely the episodes had an irregular slot (to 12:13). Two remaining episodes appeared on Monday mornings in Spring 1983 (Voyager's Return and Death's Other Dominion were not repeated, although the latter was listed in TV Times).

Death's Other Dominion was listed in TV Times for Mon. 18 April 1983 10.40am, but it was not shown.
This is the first and only time Year Two was shown on HTV, although TV Times listings always indicated the show was a repeat. Ten episodes were shown on Thursday mornings in summer 1983. A further two appeared on Wednesdays in January 1984, five more biweekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays in April, and three in one week at the end of May. The episodes were not cut and were not interrupted by adverts. Four episodes were never broadcast: Seed of Destruction, Space Warp, The Immunity Syndrome, and The Dorcons.
