Granada Television, based in Manchester, covers the north west of England (west of Yorkshire). Thirty years later, Granada would grow to take over most of the UK ITV network, as well as the ITC library including Space: 1999. There was little publicity in TV Times (in common with other regions), although switching the time of the first two episodes an hour earlier is remarkable. Thanks to Richard Farrell.

While most regions started Year Two in autumn 1976, Granada held back, first showing a repeat run of ten Year One episodes in January 1977. Starting with War Games, fourth in the original run, the broadcast order was identical.

Year Two finally began in April 1977, seven months after most of the ITV network. The first six episodes were on Fridays. The series paused for 5 weeks before returning on Sunday lunchtimes at the end of June. There was another 4 week pause from mid-August 1977.
There was no publicity that this was a new series. The TV Times listings had a series one photo of Koenig and Helena for The Exiles, and a photo of Taybor for The Taybor. The final episode in the run, The Lambda Factor, was shown earlier, at 12 noon *. The Year One repeats then followed immediately.

The Year One repeats resumed immediately after the first-run Year Two episodes. Five episodes were shown, ending on New Year's Day 1978. The repeats resumed in July 1978 with Breakaway. The Last Enemy was not repeated until April 1980, in the middle of a Year 2 repeat run.

Repeats of Year 2 followed at the end of 1979, through to 1980, all on Sundays at 1pm. Note the odd repeat of a Year One episode, The Last Enemy in April 1980. The TV Times had a remarkable entry for The Metamorph, listing the character "Verdeschi (formerly Simon Hayes)".

In common with many other ITV regions, Granada repeated Space: 1999 in 1982-1983, on Saturday mornings from 11.15 to 12.15pm. In the middle of the run, the Year Two episode Space Warp appeared as an unscheduled replacement for cancelled cricket.

Year Two immediately followed the Year One repeats, but after the first episode the slot shifted to Sundays at 1.30pm. Over Christmas and January 1983 the show disappeared, resurfaced in February and March, then disappeared again until June. One episode appeared on a Saturday morning in August, with three more in October on Sundays again.
A Matter of Balance was scheduled three times and The Lambda Factor scheduled twice, but Devil's Planet was not scheduled- presumably one of these repeats was preempted or another episode was shown. Space Warp had previously been shown as an unscheduled replacement during the Year One run in August 1982. The Dorcons was also shown unscheduled, but the date is unknown.
